About JEE Main 2020
In the Live Webinar organized by “The Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD)”, JEE Main 2020 new exam dates were announced. As per the announcement JEE Main will be conducted from July 18 to July 23. Previously this test was delayed because of COVID-19. On May 3rd NTA has closed the facility to correct the application and change the Examination center. This Online based test will be conducted for two papers. JEE Main Paper 1 and Paper 2 for B.Tech/B.E and B.Arch/B.Planning respectively. The application form was released on February 7 and March 12 , 2020 is the last date to finish the JEE Main registration.
The Admit card for JEE Main 2020 is released in the official website (jeemain.nta.nic.in). JEE Main 2020 results will be announced through the official site and that is substantial for the current. JEE Main positions will be utilized for admissions to Undergraduate Engineering programs offered by 31 NITs, 25 IIITs and 28 CFTIs including the admissions in states like Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Bihar, Jharkhand and Nagaland and numerous other private colleges and foundations.
NTA JEE Main is held two times every year in January and May. Applicants can show up for both and the better of the two scores will be considered for positioning purposes. According to the statistics around 9 lakh applicants showed up for JEE Main 2020 January test which was held from January 6 to 9 in around 570 test places.9 candidates scored 100 percentile according to the JEE Main outcome (January) for Paper I which was announced on January 17. The outcome for Paper 2 was reported on January 23.
What is JEE Main
JEE Main is a Computer based online test held by National Testing Agency for candidates who are seeking to pursue UG courses in top Engineering colleges on India. It is the first part of the IIT Joint Entrance Exam. It is additionally the screening cum qualifier test for JEE Advanced. Based on the score students can get admission in Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), National Institute of Technology (NIT) and some Government Technical Institutes.
JEE Main Pattern 2020
- JEE Main 2020 contains 2 papers, Paper 1 for engineering aspirants and Paper 2 for students seeking admissions in architecture and planning courses.
- The major change of JEE Main Paper1 is decreasing the number of questions from 90 to 75 within the same time span.
- In JEE Main Paper2 Aptitude is common for both B.Arch and B.Plan where the students who are for B.Arch should take the drawing test and the students for B.plan should take the planning test .
- It is clarified to all the Candidates that, if the Answer for the Numerical value Questions is, say 6 then all the values like 6, 6.0, 6.00, 6.000, 6.0000, 06, 06.0, 06.00, 06.000, 06.0000 are correct answers.
JEE Main Eligibility Criteria
The National Testing Agency ( NTA) has released the JEE Main
2020 eligibility requirements in the official brochure. Before applying for an
entrance test, candidates are advised to review the JEE Main 2020 eligibility
requirements. Candidates must satisfy the eligibility specifications, otherwise
at any point of the admission process the candidature will be rejected. Candidates
who meet the eligibility criteria for JEE Main 2020 may apply for the entrance
exam. JEE Main aspirants seeking admission to B.E / B.Tech programs at
undergraduate level are advised to carefully pass the JEE Main Eligibility
Criteria 2020. The eligibility requirements are composed of important details
such as education qualification, age limit, nationality, or similar subjects in
Class 12/10 + 2 and other necessary details. JEE Main 2020 April exam is to be
held from 1 to 6 September.
How to download JEE Main Admit Card
- Applicants need to tap on the download button given on the NTA JEE Main site
- They should enter their Application Number and Password OR their JEE Main Application Number and Date of Birth in the JEE Main login window.
- The Admit card of JEE Main will be shown. Applicants must verify that the details are right.
- They should print the admit cards and keep it safe as it will be required during counselling and admissions.

JEE Main 2020 Results:
On January 17th the result for JEE Main 2020 Paper 1 was announced. To show the result and percentile score for JEE Main 2020, candidates must enter their application number and birth date/password. NTA will not dispatch the JEE Main 2020 scorecard to aspirants who appeared for the examination by mail or post. The standardization process was used to assess the JEE Main results / merit list this year. The total number of candidates registered for B.E/ B.Tech according to official notification was 9,21,261. The number of candidates appeared was 8,69,010. NTA has also published the list of candidates who scored 100 percentile and JEE Main 2020 state toppers in addition to the vote.
JEE Main 2020 Result Particulars:
The JEE Main result includes the candidate's name, roll number , date of birth, name of parents, state code of eligibility, category and nationality, subject NTA scores and total NTA scores obtained in the first attempt. The JEE Main result is announced for three papers-Paper-1 (BTech), Paper-2 (BArch) and Paper-3 (BPlan).
